Jakarta-listed palm oil company PT Astra Agro Lestari said CPO production in January of this year rose by 6.4 percent to 98,042 tons from the same period last year.
Oil palm fresh fruit bunch (FFB) output during the month increased by 6.6 percent to 368,229 tons, the company said in a statement to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Monday.
“Based on FFB composition, during January 2012, the Sumatra region contributed 43.3 percent of Astra Agro’s total FFB production, while the Kalimantan and Sulawesi regions contributed 37.2 and 19.5 percent, respectively,” the statement said. (rei)
