Jakarta-listed palm oil firm PT Sampoerna Agro plans to build a new 45-ton per hour CPO mill in Kalimantan this year, Head of Investor Relation Michael Kusuma was quoted on Wednesday by Kontan as saying.
Construction of the new mill is expected to be completed early next year, he said. The company currently operates six CPO mills, five located in Sumatra, and one in Kalimantan, with a combined production capacity of 455 tons per hour of oil palm fresh fruit bunch.
The company will allocate between Rp 80-100 billion for the construction of the new mill, which will help process the projected rising oil palm production of the company. (rei)
