Organized by PT Smart Indonesia, WWF Indonesia and Cirad France, the 3rd International Conference on Oil Palm and the Environment will be held on Feb. 22 to 24, 2012 in Bali Indonesia.
This year's ICOPE will highlight environment issues, sharing experience on possible solutions and resources for the benefit of both the environment and the industry.
Some of the key topics include high carbon stock forest, biodiversity within and around plantations, ecological services contribution to green intensification, GHG emision reduction practices and smallholders and ecological intensification.
The 2nd ICOPE saw the participation of at least 400 leading scientists and practitioners from 15 neighboring countries. This year's ICOPE is expected to attract similar, if not more, participants.
Conference fee ranges between US$400 and US$600 for individuals with early bird opens since Dec. 26, 2011.
