The Indonesian Wheat Flour Producers Association (Aptindo) has filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Finance with the State Administrative Court for not taking appropriate measures to protect local flour industry against the inflow of cheap products from Turkey.
Aptindo Chairman Franky Welirang said that lawsuit was filed on January 25, 2012 with the court as the Minister of Finance has been seen of failing to protect the local industry including some 200,000 small scale companies against the unfair dumping business practice made by flour producers in Turkey.
Franky said Thursday that the Minister of Finance has declined to implement the anti-dumping policy as has been recommended by the Ministry of Trade since 2009. (rei)
